Vacuum Forming

This is the processing method through which heated and softened plastic sheets are placed on a mold and air is extracted from between the sheet and the mold, causing the sheet to adhere to the mold at atmospheric pressure.

Characteristics

• (1) High molding cycle
• (2) Can create deeply drawn forms
• (3) Can be molded using the same vacuum forming machines as those for traditional plastic sheets.
